A message from the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce:
Dear Friends:
I am very pleased to announce that on Friday morning we are hosting a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the start of the summer tourist season in Sea Isle City and the entire Jersey Shore. New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will be in Sea Isle to participate in this event, which will once again put our town in the spotlight. Our ribbon-cutting ceremony will coincide with those in other communities up and down the Jersey Shore, all of which are part of the state's "Stronger Than The Storm" tourism campaign.
Also on Friday morning, Governor Christie will be in Seaside Heights, where he will co-host NBC's Today Show, which will be broadcasting live from that location for two hours. In addition, an NBC helicopter will be flying up and down the Jersey shore at that time taking video of other communities - like ours - participating in ribbon-cutting festivities. I hope you can join us and help spread the message that the shore is open for business. We want our Promenade to be filled with smiling faces when the NBC helicopter flies along Sea Isle City!
The ribbon-cutting event kicks-off at 8:00 a.m., when members of Ocean City High School Choir will sing our National Anthem and other music selections. Additionally, a professional sand sculptor will be on hand creating one of his masterpieces - plus you will get to see your neighbors and friends and kick-off the 2013 season in style!
I hope you can join us on Friday at 8:00 a.m. at the Sea Isle City Beach Pavilion, located on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard. We will also need people to stand at different points along the Promenade to hold the one-mile long ribbon we will be cutting, so be sure to come to the Promenade and participate in this memorable event. It promises to be a great start to a tremendous summer in Sea Isle City and all along the Jersey Shore - and I hope you can be there!

Many people contact the office worried that Sea Isle's beaches are destroyed and will not be available for the upcoming summer 2013 season. The truth is Sea Isle City Public Works have done an amazing job restoring the shore back to normalcy. They have also been working diligently to repair the promenade as well as access points to the beach. Summer 2013 will be just as memorable if not more then any summer ever in Sea Isle. The following pictures show the progress made through out town. Pictures were take 1-8-2013

One of Sea Isle City's most anticipated events is quickly approaching. Sea Isle City's Polar Bear Plunge weekend gets underway Feb. 15th with the crowing of it's queen, kind, princess and prince. The main event will be the following day (Feb. 16th) at 2pm near JFK Blvd. The masses will gather to witness the annual event where brave individuals take that faithful leap in to the frigid waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The chaotic scene is an image that will live with you for many years to come. The costume contest gets underway at 12pm under the tent at La Costa; awards will be handed out at 4pm. Registration for the plunge is $25 with all proceeds going to sponsor Sea Isle City's Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. The final event of the weekend is a 5k run on Sunday.
